About the Role

This is an entry-level Registered Nurse position focused on outpatient hemodialysis care. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient treatment in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient data collection before, during, and after dialysis.
  • Adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide patient education and administer medications.
  • Respond to emergencies and ensure proper lab procedures.
  • Supervise and train Patient Care Technicians and LPNs/LVNs as needed.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Current state RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
  • Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology experience (hemodialysis background preferred).
  • Must meet state practice requirements.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Involves heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
  • Potential exposure to infectious materials in a healthcare setting.
  • May require travel and flexibility to work in various locations.

Supervision & Advancement

May oversee Patient Care Technicians and LPNs/LVNs after completing training and gaining experience in nephrology nursing.

Pay

Hourly pay ranges from $29.00 to $50.00.
