Outpatient Behavioral Health Supervisor

About the opportunity

The Supervisor Outpatient Behavioral Health provides comprehensive outpatient individual, family, couples, and group therapy services to the Summit and Eagle County community. The Supervisor is also responsible for the clinical supervision and oversight of outpatient Behavioral Health Providers (LPC, LCSW, Psychologists), providing support to outpatient student training programs and operational support for the department.

What you will do

• Under the supervision of the Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health, provides general outpatient behavioral health services to a diverse population of outpatients clients, including individual, couples, and family-based therapeutic services
• Maintain a caseload of minimally 24 billable clinical hours per week, including facilitating 1 to 2 groups per week
• Maintain a comprehensive caseload based on community need and patient population need, with services delivered across all Outpatient Clinics
• Provide clinical services exclusive to doctoral level clinicians, such as psychological assessment and neurological evaluation
• Support doctoral level trainees through the Eagle Valley Behavioral Health Psychological Assessment Clinic
• Provide clinical oversight to all outpatient behavioral health providers (oversight of approximately 15 clinicians), including at minimum 1 hour of individual clinical supervision to each Behavioral Health Provider on a biweekly basis
• Review caseload, productivity, case conceptualization, feedback on documentation, and compliance metrics during supervision sessions
• Provide back-up coverage for other supervisory clinical staff
• Manage Behavioral Health Provider schedules, time-off requests, and other logistical requests
• Work with the Manager of Practice Management, Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health, and the Vail Health Behavioral Health Compliance Team to ensure team compliance with all Community Mental Health Center, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and other regulatory requirements, including participating in meetings, performing chart audits, and completing monthly data reporting
• Maintain excellence in clinical documentation in alignment with local, internal, state, federal, and regulatory standards and compliance

What you will need

• 5 years of experience in an outpatient or community behavioral health setting, required
• 1 year of supervision, required
• Understanding of Colorado laws and regulations as they relate to mental health practices, privacy, confidentiality, supervision, and ethical delivery of care
• Experience overseeing accurate and timely data collection and data reporting to include Medicaid billing or reporting requirements
• Expertise in American Psychological Association (APA) ethical codes and applicable statutes
• Rural behavioral health experience with specific knowledge of resources and community agencies specific to Eagle County, preferred
• Bilingual, strongly preferred
• State of Colorado Licensed Psychologist (PSY), Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor, required
• Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field, required

Pay

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience. Yearly pay range: $97,739 USD – $139,600 USD.
