Outpatient Behavioral Health Supervisor

Qualifications & Skills

• Holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• Certifications include LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW within two years, issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Requires at least 3 years of behavioral health experience, strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, identify psychosocial needs, and manage a caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Model professionalism and foster a trusting, collaborative environment.
• Provide regular supervision, training, and performance evaluations for staff.
• Ensure staffing, scheduling, and documentation meet quality and compliance standards.
• Offer clinical guidance, review documentation, and assume LPHA responsibilities if credentialed.
• Maintain program quality by monitoring outcomes, productivity, and compliance.
• Lead process improvements, participate in program reporting, and liaise with referral sources.
• Handle clinical crises and ensure staff accountability for service delivery.
