Outpatient Behavioral Health Supervisor

About the role

Provides leadership and oversight of an outpatient community mental health program, ensuring quality, compliance, and service standards are met. Supervises staff, offers clinical guidance, and maintains professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Model professionalism, foster trust, and ensure a positive team environment.
• Maintain visibility and accessibility to staff, providing supervision, onboarding, and ongoing training.
• Monitor staff performance, ensure documentation compliance, and provide clinical guidance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and direct client care, including crisis leadership.
• Achieve quality, compliance, and financial targets through process improvements and performance reviews.
• Ensure program documentation and clinical charts meet standards and participate in reviews and reports.
• Act as liaison with referral sources and contracting entities.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in behavioral health.
• Valid licensure (LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW) within 2 years in Illinois.
