Responsibilities

• Take guests’ orders.
• Run food.
• Handle cash and other forms of payment.
• Make proficient sales transactions using a point‑of‑sale system.
• Properly check IDs for guests who appear to be under 30 years old.
• Demonstrate responsible alcohol service.
• Demonstrate impeccable product knowledge.
• Engage in suggestive selling using proven techniques.
• Answer questions accurately and politely.
• Satisfy guest needs, regularly double‑checking back throughout their experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized station, including pre‑bussing and table maintenance.
• Perform opening, closing, and side duties (setting up/breaking down station, refilling condiments, cleaning ashtrays, etc.).
• Demonstrate knowledge of all table and station numbers.
• Direct guests to areas and restrooms.
• Create memorable experiences.
• Entertain guests to create “Raving Fans.”

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Follows all food safety and sanitation procedures. In some U.S. states, a food safety certification program (e.g., a food handler’s card) is required before serving food or alcohol.

• Remain calm in a hectic, fast‑paced atmosphere.
• Demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move throughout the corporate office and cafés during visits (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and ability to work with hands above shoulders.
• Ability to occasionally, regularly, or frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environments.
• Ability to travel via auto or airplane for long periods of time.
