Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering a great customer experience.
- Answer customer questions about product location, price, and usage with expert knowledge.
- Follow instructions for customer requests while maintaining safety requirements.
- Analyze reports and make decisions on inventory purchasing, merchandise arrangement, and sales trends.
- Stock shelves, tables, and counters while adhering to merchandising standards.
- Set up advertising, signs, and merchandise to promote sales.
- Communicate professionally with vendors and outside sales representatives.
- Train associates on product use and basic knowledge.
- Prepare for and facilitate product knowledge and sales meetings as directed.
- Attend weekly sales and product knowledge training meetings.
- Maintain professional appearance and attitude, contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Perform basic math operations, including currency, measurements, and percentages.
- Work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Promote the Scheels Visa and explain its benefits clearly.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Follow all safety procedures to minimize injury risk.
Pay
Compensation for this position is a combination of hourly pay plus commission, starting at $48,000–$50,000 per year.
Schedule
- Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9:00 AM–9:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 10:00 AM–6:00 PM Sunday.
- Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Average of 42 hours per week.
- Typical schedule includes a set day off during the week, 2 set nights to close during the week, and every other weekend rotation.
