About the role

At HubSpot, our Outbound Business Development Representatives (BDRs) are the first touchpoints for many of our future customers. They play a crucial role in driving pipeline, impacting, and generating revenue. This is not a placeholder role; it's the first chapter of a high-growth sales career designed for those who want to build skills, embrace feedback, and grow even faster.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute outbound prospecting through high-volume outreach (60–100+ activities/day) via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to target strategic accounts and refine outreach strategy.
  • Qualify leads based on fit, need, and urgency — and book quality discovery meetings.
  • Hit (and exceed) KPIs for activity, meetings delivered, and pipeline impact.
  • Grow fast. Learn fast. Get coached. Apply it. Repeat.

What You'll Do

Compensation & Career Track

  • Base salary: $53,800 annually
  • On-target commission: $23,000 annually
  • OTE (on-target earnings): $76,800 annually

This is the first of three levels in our BDR program — designed to take you from prospecting pro to promoting to a full-cycle closer. We’re looking for future stars, not just seat-fillers.
