About the role
St Patrick’s Catholic School Latrobe is seeking expressions of interest for the following teaching positions for the 2025 school year:
- Classroom Teacher (Full-time, ongoing)
- Classroom Teacher (Part-time, ongoing)
- Kindergarten Teacher (Part-time, ongoing)
We are looking for passionate educators who are committed to delivering high-quality Catholic education in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum and the Catholic Education Tasmania framework.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic growth of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student learning and well-being.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and contribute to the school’s strategic goals.
- Support the Catholic ethos of the school through participation in liturgies, prayer, and faith-based activities.
- Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school, including extracurricular activities, sports, and school events.
- Undertake yard duty and other supervisory responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Tasmania.
- Qualifications in Early Childhood Education (for Kindergarten Teacher role) or Primary Education (for Classroom Teacher roles).
- Experience in classroom teaching, preferably within a Catholic or faith-based school setting.
- Strong understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices and a commitment to ongoing professional learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Demonstrated commitment to the values and mission of Catholic education.
