OTF - SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - MODERATE DISABILITIES - FULL TIME - NAHS

About the role

Responsible for curriculum planning and implementation of IEPs. The Special Education Teacher collaborates and coordinates with administrators, educators, and instructional assistants. They co-treat/provide services to students with the school counselor, therapists, and other educators. The Special Education Teacher is a liaison with families and providers, and provides educational services to students in partnership with other students.

Requirements

• Massachusetts DESE state certification – Special Education Teacher
• Current Massachusetts License (Moderate Disabilities Licensure Preferred)
• Knowledgeable and proficient with Federal/State laws and regulations and the IEP Team meeting process
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
