SHORT-TERM SUBSTITUTE MODERATE/SEVERE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - NAHS

About the role

The Special Education Teacher at North Attleborough High School is responsible for curriculum planning and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). They collaborate and coordinate with administrators, educators, and instructional assistants to provide educational services to students with moderate/severe disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and coordinate with administrators, educators, and instructional assistants.
• Co-teach/provide services to students with the school counselor, therapists, and other educators.
• Be a liaison with families and providers, providing educational services to students in partnership with other students.

Requirements

• A Massachusetts DESE state certification – Special Education Teacher.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Knowledgeable and proficient with Federal/State laws and regulations, and the IEP Team meeting process.
• A current Massachusetts License is required.
• Moderate Disabilities Licensure is preferred.

• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
