Term: Substitute, per diem during the 2026-2027 school year
Pay
- $23.33 per hour or $175 per day
Responsibilities
- Plan and provide instruction for students with a variety of disabilities—including learning, emotional, and multiple disabilities—in accordance with NYS mandates and standards.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.
- Provide IEP services, resource-room support, and consultant-teacher services as required by NYS mandates.
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to foster planning and skill development.
- Communicate effectively with families, school staff, district personnel, and community services.
Requirements
- Special Education Certification required.
- Experience working with students who exhibit learning disabilities preferred.
- Experience teaching Math and Science to students with disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of New York State Standards, curriculum, and assessments.
- Experience teaching academic and daily-living skills to students with multiple disabilities preferred.
- Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
