About the role

The Department of Orthotics & Prosthetics/College of Health Sciences, Education and Rehabilitation (CHER) is committed to offering programs grounded in evidence-based research and practice, and interprofessional education to prepare students to become competent professionals dedicated to promoting the health, well-being and education of the individuals and the communities they serve. Developing and nurturing orthotic-prosthetic student leaders who are: inquisitive, welcoming, engaging and competent problem-solvers who have a passion for person-centered care while leading change in the profession of orthotics and prosthetics.

Essential Functions

  • Aid and support instructors, fabrication, measurement, impression taking, modification, and fitting of upper limb prosthetics in the clinical portion of the Upper Limb Prosthetics course.
  • This is a support role to the course coordinator. The support role assists in the safety of the students during fabrication and patient model evaluation and fittings.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Must be an ABC Prosthetist (CP) and/or Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO)
  • Experience in Upper Limb Prosthetics patient care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Fabrication techniques
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)

Salisbury at Drexel University campus (Elkins Park, PA)
