Orthopedic Surgeon - Locum Tenens

About the Role

Physician responsible for providing call coverage in inpatient and outpatient settings, including overnight shifts from 4 pm to 7 am. The role involves seeing approximately 2 patients and 2 admissions per 24-hour shift, along with about 6 phone consultations. Assignment details are managed via an online portal, with ongoing call coverage extending into 2027.

Responsibilities

• Manage call shifts, including patient evaluations and admissions.
• Perform orthopedic procedures such as hip procedures, hand procedures, and tendon release/repair.
• Handle both inpatient and outpatient call duties.
• Conduct phone consultations as needed.

Requirements

• Experience with orthopedic procedures, including hip and hand surgeries, tendon repairs, and arthroscopy (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage diverse clinical scenarios.

Pay
