Locum Tenens Orthopedic Surgeon

About the role

This role involves providing weekend call coverage from Friday to Monday, with a focus on surgical and consultative duties. The physician will primarily handle call responsibilities, requesting assistance for surgical cases, particularly in arthroscopy, total joint replacement, joint revision, tendon repair, peripheral nerve surgery, and spine procedures with instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekend call coverage (Friday to Monday).
• Handle surgical and consultative duties, including requesting assistance for surgical cases.
• Perform procedures in arthroscopy, total joint replacement, joint revision, tendon repair, peripheral nerve surgery, and spine procedures with instrumentation.
• Manage occasional phone consults.
• Ensure continuity of patient care.

Requirements

• BLS certification (ACLS or ATLS accepted).
• Preferred experience in the specified surgical areas.
