Orthopedic Surgeon - Locum Tenens

About the role

This position is for an orthopedic surgeon providing night and 24-hour emergency coverage at a 300-bed facility with orthopedic surgical services. The role involves on-site work in the operating room and emergency department, focusing solely on emergent cases in a low-volume setting. The clinician will support patient care in a non-government facility, handling emergent cases across all ages.

Responsibilities

• Responding to emergent orthopedic cases during assigned shifts
• Providing on-call coverage as required
• Supporting emergency and operating room teams

Requirements

• Board certification in orthopedic surgery (mandatory)
• Experience with emergent orthopedic cases
• Ability to provide night and 24-hour call coverage

Schedule

5-10 shifts per month, with clinical duties limited to emergent situations.
