Role Overview: Join a dynamic, community-based healthcare system specializing in high-volume sports medicine. Provide comprehensive care for a diverse patient population, including student athletes and active adults. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal sports-related injuries, both surgically and non-surgicallyPerform advanced arthroscopic and open procedures on the knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, and ankleParticipate in clinical documentation using electronic health recordsEngage in quality improvement, team meetings, and continuing educationOptional involvement in teaching or research activitiesProvide care for local athletic programs (preferred, not required)Participate in call coverage to support patient needs Qualifications & Skills MD or DO from an accredited institutionCompletion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery ResidencyFellowship training in Orthopedic Sports MedicineBoard-certified or eligible in Orthopedic SurgeryProficiency in arthroscopic techniques, including ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, labral repairs, and cartilage restorationStrong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient-centered careActive Maryland medical license or eligibility to obtain oneExperience with outreach and community engagement is a plus Additional Information: The role offers competitive compensation, benefits such as medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, paid time off, student loan assistance, and opportunities for academic involvement.
