Orthopedic Floater - Full-Time PA

About the role

Piedmont Orthopedics is seeking a Physician Assistant to support their practice in Concord, NC. This position will be part of a busy orthopedic surgery practice and will provide support across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities

• Function as an independent APP provider with your own clinic schedule
• Serve as First Assist in the Operating Room
• Participate in an office call rotation
• Perform inpatient rounding as needed
• Collaborate with physicians across multiple specialties including: Shoulder, Hand, Hip, Knee
• Support an established orthopedic group as a float PA supporting patient care needs for multiple specialties
• Partner with outreach Athletic Trainers for community and sports coverage
• Additional opportunities include Orthopedic Urgent Care shifts, Sideline coverage for high school and community athletic programs, Sports Medicine and special event coverage

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Valid North Carolina licensure (or eligible)
• DEA license (or eligible)
• Prior orthopedic experience preferred
• NCCPA certification

Skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. Proficiency in orthopedic procedures and a collaborative attitude are also important.

$50.05 - $75.10 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
