ORMC Instructor

Responsibilities

  • Conduct platform instruction as the primary instructor and as alternate/assistant instructor of the lesson plans supporting the ASOTMC POI.
  • Serve as an instructor and faculty advisor to senior Special Forces NCOs, warrant officers, and officers attending the Managers Course.
  • Research, develop, and write doctrine.
  • Present instruction to support Special Forces missions.
  • Conduct coordination and brief both military and civilian officials.
  • Prepare, coordinate, execute, and supervise associated training exercises throughout CONUS in both urban and rural environments.
  • Responsible for safeguarding all Government property and classified documents provided for use. Secure Government equipment and classified materials at the close of each work period to prevent damage or loss.
  • Travel to CONUS locations in support of Mobile Training Teams (MTTs) as required by the company and/or the customer.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance required.

  • Must be a graduate of the ASOT Managers Course.
  • Completed or able to successfully complete a recognized DoD Instructor Training Course (ITC).
  • 4+ years of Intelligence Community (IC) experience.
  • Applied skill sets OCONUS, management experience at the battalion level or higher.
  • Ten years of Special IC experience preferred but not required.
  • Able to use Windows-based operating systems, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel.
  • Prepare and use multimedia products in support of platform instruction.
  • Familiar with training and governing policies and procedures as they pertain to ORMC programs within the IC.
  • Cognizant of the most recent regulations and doctrine governing ORMC Management.
  • Must be able to read, write (at 12th-grade level), and understand English, and speak clearly to instruct, evaluate, and counsel trainees.
  • Knowledge of and skill in the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) approved Systems Approach to Training (SAT) or Army Learning Model (ALM).

Physical Requirements

  • Physical requirements may include lifting, ascending and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing.
  • Maintain a high degree of physical fitness to handle the demands of the position, including working in extreme environmental conditions (heat and cold).
  • Able to move 6 miles a day in rough terrain and work non-standard hours.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English, and speak clearly to instruct, evaluate, and counsel trainees.
