About the Role

Join the FITSM Project Team within the Information Technology Development Section (ITDS). As part of the FITSM project team—comprised of multiple divisions and expert consultants—you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of technology for the Bureau of Firearms. Under the direction of the Supervisor (SUP) II, the Analyst (AN) III will serve as the Bureau of Firearms Organizational Change Management (OCM) Manager.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate on the design and implementation of a modernized IT system
• Recommend process improvements and system enhancements
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams
• Help define and execute innovative solutions that support public safety and firearm regulations
• Plan, lead, manage, coordinate, and oversee OCM activities in alignment with the FITSM project goals
• Provide oversight of the OCM consultants, ensuring standards, timelines, and deliverables align with the overall project
• Prioritize and personally resolve complex business priorities related to the Project
• Monitor business activities to ensure approved objectives and benefits are realized and develop alternative activities when needed
• Engage with internal and external partners and perform complex project tasks to support the overall project
• Create informative and accurate communication to engage the project team, contracted staff, internal BOF staff, the Application Development Bureau (ADB), executive management, and the external user community

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Knowledge of the program's OCM needs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and perform multiple tasks with accuracy, precision, and neatness

Pay

$6,623.00 - $8,290.00 per month (New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.)

Schedule

This is a 12 Month Limited Term - Full Time position (may be extended up to 24 months) with a Day work shift, Monday-Friday. Telework Hybrid available. Located in Sacramento County.
