About the role

MITRE’s Organizational and Operational Performance L646 Department has an opening for an Organizational Change Management Senior or Lead to join our team. We are seeking an individual with experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM) to support enterprise transformation initiatives across federal civilian, defense, homeland security, healthcare, and intelligence missions. The successful candidate will partner with technical, operational, and executive stakeholders to develop and execute organizational change strategies that enable successful adoption of new capabilities, technologies, organizational designs, and business processes.

This role requires an individual who can integrate change management principles with systems engineering, digital modernization, and organizational transformation efforts while collaborating within highly interdisciplinary teams. Depending on qualifications and experience, this position may be filled at the MTS 4 level.

Responsibilities

  • Support organizational change management workstreams supporting enterprise transformation programs.
  • Conduct organizational assessments to inform organizational change efforts.
  • Develop change management strategies, plans, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Conduct stakeholder analyses and organizational readiness assessments.
  • Develop executive engagement and communication strategies.
  • Support organizational design efforts.
  • Design and facilitate workshops with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify pain points, brainstorm solutions, and identify actionable steps to achieve the desired future state.
  • Develop change impact assessments and adoption metrics.
  • Measure organizational adoption through qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Advise sponsors on organizational risks associated with modernization initiatives and collaborate on mitigation strategies to address.
  • Collaborate closely with systems engineers, digital transformation teams, human-centered designers, workforce strategists, human capital colleagues, and program managers.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior government leaders regarding organizational readiness and workforce transformation.
  • Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and capability development activities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Systems Engineering, or related field; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide or agency-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Experience advising senior leadership on change management initiatives.
  • Able to mentor staff and build organizational capability.
  • Experience applying one or more recognized change management methodologies, including Prosci ADKAR, Kotter, Bridges Transition Model, Burke Litwin Model.
  • Experience with stakeholder analyses, organizational assessments, change impact assessments, readiness assessments, communication planning, and roadmap/implementation plan development.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S Government issued Security Clearance. Per the U.S. Government’s eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered for a security clearance.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site work.

  • Active Top Secret Clearance.

Pay

Salary compensation range and midpoint: $132,000 - $165,000 - $198,000 Annual.
