Order Processing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Answer customer inquiries via phone and email, providing accurate information about products and services.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Create and enter customer orders accurately into the system, ensuring all required information is complete.
• Manage and update customer accounts, including contact information, order history, and account details.
• Process orders from entry through completion, ensuring they follow established procedures and timelines.
• Maintain reports to ensure accurate tracking of orders, inventory, and product availability.
• Manage spreadsheets with real-time data to support order tracking, inventory control, and customer reporting.
• Clock in and out orders and related transactions in the system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel, to create, update, and maintain documents and reports.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and customer requests to meet deadlines and service expectations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a customer support or order entry role.
• Proven experience in order processing and order entry.
• Customer service experience, including handling inquiries via phone and email.
• Experience with account management in a customer-facing environment.
• Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize work, and manage time effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or AS400 systems.
• Background in an industrial, logistics, or 3PL environment is beneficial.
• Comfort working with real-time data and maintaining spreadsheets for reporting.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse and operations teams.
