Oracle Cloud Architect

About the role

This role focuses on designing cloud architectures primarily for Oracle Cloud along with AWS, Azure, frameworks, governance models, and cloud standards for the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, multi/hybrid‑cloud architectures. This role may require guiding engineering teams or supplementing their skill sets. A strong foundation in on‑premises infrastructure is essential due to hybrid integrations and migration initiatives. The organization is also planning to expand Infrastructure‑as‑Code capabilities.

• OCI: 6–9 years
• Azure / AWS / GCP: 1–2 years each (nice to have)
• Hybrid Infrastructure: 4–6 years
• Cloud Networking: 4–6 years
• Cloud DevOps / Automation: 4–6 years
• Cloud Security: 2–3 years
• Cloud FinOps: 1–2 years
• Architecture Documentation (Visio or Abacus): 2–3 years

Responsibilities

• Design cloud architectures primarily for Oracle Cloud along with AWS, Azure, frameworks, governance models, and cloud standards
• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure, multi/hybrid‑cloud architectures
• Guide engineering teams or supplement their skill sets as needed
• Work with on‑premises infrastructure for hybrid integrations and migration initiatives
• Develop architectures, standards, and governance models for the OCI platform
• Configure, patch, and manage cloud servers and environments including network and VLAN configuration, backups, system monitoring, and alerts

Qualifications

• A current Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification (Architect Professional or Architect Associate) is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in OCI is mandatory
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms, services, governance, frameworks, and best practices
• Experience across other cloud providers is a plus for multi‑cloud initiatives
• Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Golden Gate, RMAN, Database licensing
• Experience with Exadata, ExaCC, ExaDB-D, Exascale, DBaaS, OEM
• Experience with High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Multi-Cloud Architecture
