About the role
Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As an Oracle Cloud Architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. This is an opportunity to use your cloud architecture skills to improve mission-critical applications and products for some of the nation's toughest problems. You’ll help develop cloud-based solutions using the latest cloud technologies, inform strategy and design, and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.
You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll work with your team to help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud while growing your skills in areas like AI and developing critical systems for the defense industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop cloud-based technical architectures that meet client needs and leverage cloud capabilities
- Inform strategy and design, ensuring standards are met throughout the cloud migration process
- Recommend tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources
- Work with a team to help clients overcome cloud-related challenges
- Develop and deploy production geospatial solutions from concept to O&M
- Create advanced OCI solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software with a cloud-first development approach
- 3+ years of experience with OCI services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including Compute, Autonomous Database, Exadata Database, security policies, security groups, and network security
- 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience working with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience with OCI enterprise solutions, or 9+ years of experience with OCI enterprise solutions in lieu of a degree
Nice to have
- Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
- Experience designing solutions to enable migration from AWS to OCI
- Experience with OCI AI, ML, and LLM offerings
- Experience designing OCI solutions optimized for geospatial workloads
- Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments
- Experience with system design, including scalability and reliability
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- OCI Certifications such as OCI Architect or OCI Developer Certifications
- IAT Level II certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certifications

Pay
Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).

Work model expectations:
- Remote: Generally remote, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
