Oracle Cloud Architect
About the role
As an Oracle Cloud Architect, you will create cloud-based technical architectures that meet client needs and leverage cloud capabilities. This role involves developing cloud-based solutions for mission-critical applications and national challenges using the latest cloud technologies. You will work with industry leaders to inform strategy, design, and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. Your responsibilities will include recommending tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. Additionally, you will collaborate with your team to help clients overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud while growing your skills in areas like AI and developing critical systems for the defense industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop cloud-based technical architectures tailored to client needs
- Recommend tools and solutions based on research of current environments and knowledge of on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources
- Work with industry leaders to inform strategy, design, and ensure standards are met during cloud migration
- Collaborate with your team to help clients overcome cloud-related challenges
- Create advanced OCI solutions and develop/deploy production geospatial solutions from concept to O&M
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software with a cloud-first development approach
- 3+ years of experience with OCI services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including Compute, Autonomous Database, Exadata Database, security policies, security groups, and network security
- 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience working with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
- Experience creating advanced OCI solutions
- Experience developing and deploying production geospatial solutions from concept to O&M
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience with OCI enterprise solutions, or 9+ years of experience with OCI enterprise solutions in lieu of a degree
Nice to Have
- Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
- Experience designing solutions to enable migration from AWS to OCI
- Experience with OCI AI, ML, and LLM offerings
- Experience designing OCI solutions optimized for geospatial workloads
- Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments
- Experience with system design, including scalability and reliability
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- OCI Certifications such as OCI Architect or OCI Developer Certifications
- IAT Level II certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certifications

Pay
Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
