Oracle Cloud Architect
About the role
Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not all know how. As an Oracle Cloud Architect, you will create cloud-based technical architectures that meet client needs and leverage cloud capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to use your cloud architecture skills to improve mission-critical applications and products, developing cloud-based solutions for some of the nation’s toughest problems. You will work with the latest cloud technologies to enhance client environments, inform strategy and design, and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.
You will recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. Collaborating with your team, you’ll help clients overcome their most difficult cloud challenges while growing your skills in areas like AI and developing critical systems for the defense industry.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software with a cloud-first development approach
- 3+ years of experience with OCI services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including Compute, Autonomous Database, Exadata Database, security policies, security groups, and network security
- 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience working with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
- Experience creating advanced OCI solutions
- Experience developing and deploying production geospatial solutions from concept to O&M
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with OCI enterprise solutions, or 9+ years of experience with OCI enterprise solutions in lieu of a degree
Nice to have
- Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
- Experience designing solutions to enable migration from AWS to OCI
- Experience with OCI AI, ML, and LLM offerings
- Experience designing OCI solutions optimized for geospatial workloads
- Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments
- Experience with system design, including scalability and reliability
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- OCI Certifications such as OCI Architect or OCI Developer Certifications
- IAT Level II certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certifications
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Pay
Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:
- Remote: Occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility is expected, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
- Onsite: Work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
