East Liverpool City Hospital, a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an award-winning community hospital serving residents of the tristate region since 1905. With 152 licensed beds and more than 500 employees, the hospital averages 31,000 Emergency Department visits annually. The medical staff is comprised of more than 160 physicians with an additional 21 resident physicians completing their training in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health for adults over the age of 55, and remains the only cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure
- Maintain sterile field during cases
- Provide surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or related experience, required for new hires effective April 2014
- Graduate of an ORT training program, or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred)
- Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics)
- Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.)
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained current
