OR TECH

About the Role

Primarily a caregiver who, as part of the OR team, provides safe, efficient care to the patient in the operating room. This position's shifts will be mainly day, with on-call responsibilities for after hours and weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Certified Technician program
• Certification as Certified Surgical Tech
• Basic Life Support certification (completed within orientation period)
• First Aid certification
• Experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered

Working Conditions

• Works in a well-lit, ventilated, and air-conditioned area
• Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights, and sounds
• Long periods of standing, walking, stooping, heavy lifting, and bending required
• Risks exposure to disease, infection, physical strain, and assault
• Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation, and antineoplastic agents
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently
