OR/Sterile Processing Liaison

About the role

The SPD/OR Liaison manages daily clinical and administrative operations within their designated surgical specialty. They support operating room staff by ensuring instrument kits are prepared, forecasting instrument needs, and monitoring surgical case flow.

Responsibilities

• Conduct KPI audits and analyze operational trends
• Coordinate communication for instrument turnaround
• Address urgent instrumentation needs
• Process and maintain sterile equipment according to safety protocols
• Assist with documentation and kit updates
• Ensure equipment availability for surgeries

Requirements

• High school diploma (required)
• Associate’s degree (preferred), especially in Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology
• Minimum of three years' sterile processing experience
• Certifications such as CRCST or CSPDT (required)
