Sterile Processing Liaison

Responsibilities

• Codifies missing items to prevent case delays.
• Ensures equipment is functioning properly before use.
• Identifies and resolves equipment conflicts.
• Maintains availability of instruments for scheduled and emergency cases.
• Delivers additional instruments to the Operating Room staff during procedures.
• Aids in efficient workflow by making rounds and assisting with instrument transport and setup.
• Communicates with Operating Room leadership and staff about instrument supply and issues.
• Reports Operating Room complaints to the Sterile Processing Manager/Supervisor.
• Coordinates cases with the Circulator/Operating Room team.
• Reviews and ensures timely processing of instrumentation based on the surgical case schedule.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of sterile equipment processing experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).
• Basic Life Support - CPR Certification (BLS).
• Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS).

Pay

$23.78 - $44.22 per hour
