OR/Sterile Processing Liaison

About the role

The SPD/OR Liaison is responsible for overseeing daily clinical and administrative operations within their designated surgical specialty. They support the Operating Room (OR) team by verifying instrument readiness, forecasting instrument needs, and resolving issues related to surgical cases. The role involves conducting KPI audits, analyzing operational data to identify trends, and coordinating communication for instrument turnaround times. They respond promptly to instrumentation concerns, ensure equipment is processed per safety protocols, and assist with documentation, kit updates, and instrument counts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (associates preferred)
• At least three years of sterile processing experience (five preferred)
• Certification as a CRCST or CSPDT
