OR/Sterile Processing Liaison

The SPD/OR Liaison is responsible for coordinating daily clinical and administrative operations within their designated surgical specialty. They support the Operating Room (OR) team by ensuring instrument kits are prepared, monitoring surgical case flow, and communicating instrument needs to Sterile Processing Department (SPD). Key duties include conducting KPI audits, analyzing operational trends, coordinating instrument turnaround, and responding to urgent instrumentation requests. They assist with equipment processing, documentation, and maintaining accurate instrument records to ensure readiness for surgeries. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with an associate’s degree and specific sterile processing training preferred. Minimum of three years' experience in Sterile Processing is required, with certifications such as CRCST or CSPDT. The role involves collaboration, problem-solving, and ensuring high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
