OR/Sterile Processing Liaison

About the role

The SPD/OR Liaison coordinates daily clinical and administrative operations within their designated surgical specialty. They support the Operating Room (OR) team by ensuring instrument kits are prepared, monitoring surgical case flow, and communicating instrument needs to Sterile Processing Department (SPD).

Responsibilities

• Conduct KPI audits and analyze operational trends
• Coordinate instrument turnaround and respond to urgent instrumentation requests
• Assist with equipment processing and documentation
• Maintain accurate instrument records to ensure readiness for surgeries
• Collaborate with the OR team to support high standards of patient care and operational efficiency

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (associate’s degree preferred)
• Minimum of three years' experience in Sterile Processing
• Certifications such as CRCST or CSPDT
• Specific sterile processing training preferred
