About the role
The SPD/OR Liaison manages daily clinical and administrative operations within their designated surgical specialty.
Responsibilities
- Support OR staff by verifying instrument readiness and forecasting instrument needs.
- Monitor surgical case flow and conduct KPI audits.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and issues.
- Coordinate communication for instrument turnaround times and respond to urgent instrumentation needs.
- Ensure proper cleaning and processing of equipment according to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update kits.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and coordinators.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Sterile processing education.
- Minimum of three years of sterile processing experience.
- Certifications such as CRCST or CSPDT (required).
- Additional certifications preferred.
