OR/Sterile Processing Liaison

About the role

The SPD/OR Liaison manages daily clinical and administrative operations for a specialty surgical service, supporting OR staff by verifying instrument readiness, forecasting instrument needs, and coordinating communication for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct KPI audits and analyze operational trends.
• Respond promptly to instrumentation issues, ensuring equipment is processed and available for surgeries.
• Handle documentation, kit updates, and maintain accurate instrument counts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (associate’s degree preferred), with a focus on sterile processing.
• Minimum of three years’ sterile processing experience (five years preferred).
• Certifications such as CRCST or CSPDT (additional leadership and technical certifications preferred).
