About the Role
This is a part-time Optometrist position located at Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla, CA (Madera County). The role involves conducting eye examinations, diagnosing diseases and abnormalities, and maintaining safety and order within the facility.
Under the general direction of the Receiver’s Medical Executive, the Optometrist examines the eye using observation and instruments to determine visual acuity, perception, focus, and coordination. You will also supervise the conduct of incarcerated individuals and ensure the safety of persons and property.
Schedule
This part-time position requires 24 hours of work per week.
Pay
The monthly part-time salary range for this position is $4,669.80 to $6,191.40.
Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) reduces the base salary of affected employees by 3% and provides 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Part-time employees are subject to these conditions on a prorated basis.
Responsibilities
