Optician 1 — $22–$25/Hour | Patient-Focused Opportunity

No optical experience? No problem — we’re looking for great people who are ready to learn! Are you a people person who enjoys helping others and wants to build your skills in eye care? We’re looking for an Optician 1 to join a patient-focused practice in Rockville, MD.

About the role

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys working directly with patients. Optical or healthcare experience is a plus, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and assisting patients
• Answering phones and helping patients with questions
• Scheduling appointments
• Checking patients in and out
• Assisting patients with their optical needs
• Providing friendly, professional customer service
• Helping patients understand their visit and next steps
• Handling front desk and administrative responsibilities
• Maintaining accurate patient information
• Working with the practice team to keep the office running smoothly

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• A positive and personable attitude
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• The ability to multitask in a busy environment
• Basic computer skills
• Professional presentation
• 1+ year of customer service or related experience preferred
• Optical or healthcare experience is a plus
