Ops Support Sr. Manager - Divisional Underwriting Manager for Distributed Retail Fulfillment

For a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking an Ops Support Sr. Manager - Divisional Underwriting Manager for Distributed Retail Fulfillment. This role focuses on operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline drive success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Retail Mortgage Underwriting teams through effective task delegation
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to shape and implement Underwriting strategies
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage team staffing, including hiring and terminations
• Oversee the quality and efficiency of the team's outputs and address training needs
• Create budgets, formulate policies, and manage resource planning
• Handle complex issues that significantly impact the department
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of team integrations to support overall functional goals

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in Retail Mortgage Underwriting Leadership
• Extensive knowledge of Retail Mortgage, Credit Policy, and Underwriting procedures
• Working knowledge of Regulatory Guidelines and Quality Expectations
• Ability to work under pressure and manage unexpected changes
• Proven organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay

$134,960 – $202,440 annually
