OPS Property Associate - NHMFL
Responsibilities
- Property Duties (75%):
- Inventory: Works as a team with the Property Custodian and Mag Lab personnel to complete the annual physical equipment inventory at the MagLab. This includes: Physical scanning of equipment in laboratories, offices and storage areas. Management of inventory related files including creation, transfer and storage. Notifying Property Custodian of changes in condition and ownership of equipment during inventory. Researching inventory questions in software systems.
- Maintenance: Working safely in varied areas and circumstances. Maintaining professional relationships across all departments and levels of personnel at the Mag Lab.
- Surplus: Monitor Receiving dock for surplus needs and coordinate with Receiving Manager and Property Custodian for disposal. Pickup and transport of smaller equipment. Appropriately dispose of approved waste.
- Receiving Duties (20%): Cover all day-to-day general receiving duties as a trained backup for existing receiving personnel. Other duties as needed (5%): These will vary and are often seasonal. Examples include assisting in Mag Lab Open House preparation, inspecting and reporting on minor facility issues.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Florida driver’s license.
- Forklift – capable of earning forklift certification after adequate on-site training.
- Physical – the ability to move through physically challenging laboratories and storage facilities. Examples of challenges include walking long distances, navigating tight spaces, kneeling, reaching and use of ladders and hand trucks.
- Computer – effective and regular use of email, shared file structures, Adobe PDFs and Office 365 applications.
- Teamwork – it is essential to this position that candidate can work productively with all MagLab personnel regardless.
- Ongoing education – this position will require ongoing training and education. Examples include Radiation Laboratory Access Safety, Magnet Safety, Lock, Tag, Verify training, etc.
