About the role
The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. is seeking physicians who are board certified or board eligible by an American Medical Specialty Board. The East Bay area, comprising 12 cities and municipalities within Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, is home to the flagship Oakland Medical Center and Richmond Medical Center. Founded in 1945, the nonprofit organization pioneered prepaid health care services for Richmond shipyard workers during World War II. Today, the Richmond and Oakland Medical Centers house approximately 700 physicians and 5,600 employees who serve over 250,000 members annually.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a variety of clinical settings
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for patient safety and care
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in an American Medical Specialty Board
- Current California Medical License
- Experience in primary care or specialty medicine preferred
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Passing scores on the USMLE or COMLEX
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
