Ophthalmologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

This role involves providing ophthalmology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) care within a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The position is suited for a provider experienced in pediatric ophthalmology, particularly ROP, and capable of working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• On-site ambulatory coverage on designated days, including routine clinics and PRN ROP treatment sessions.
• Inpatient duties involving NICU rounding for ROP from early morning, followed by outpatient clinic work.
• Supporting staff vacations with approximately 8 weeks of coverage per year.
• Managing a variable caseload, with duties primarily conducted on-site and no call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Board certification in Ophthalmology.
