Ophthalmologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

We are seeking an Ophthalmologist (MD) for locum tenens coverage to provide inpatient and outpatient ophthalmology services, with a focus on retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) care in a NICU setting.

The role involves delivering ambulatory care on Tuesdays and optional Wednesday PRN outpatient coverage, as well as inpatient NICU rounding on Wednesdays from 7 AM to 1 PM, with additional clinic duties as needed. The position supports staff vacations for approximately 8 weeks annually.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient ROP cases in the NICU
• Perform outpatient treatments and ambulatory care
• Conduct NICU rounding on Wednesdays (7 AM to 1 PM)
• Provide optional PRN outpatient coverage on Wednesdays
• Support staff coverage during vacations (approximately 8 weeks annually)

Requirements

• Board certification in Ophthalmology
• Clinical experience in retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) care
• Flexibility to handle both inpatient and outpatient duties
