Operator IV - 1st Shift

General Purpose of Job

The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting and maintaining machinery in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring product adheres to our quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery according to production specifications and safety standards
• Perform machine startup, shut down and basic troubleshooting
• Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and productivity
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of machines
• Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize performance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
• Document production output, machine settings, and any issues encountered
• Perform quality checks per Pregis Quality Management System
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar role
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and safety protocols
• Basic math and computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality and safety

Education and/or Experience

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
• 5+ years of manufacturing work experience
