About the role
Riverstone Logistics (RLX) is a freight forwarding company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, with over 700 employees. They provide final mile deliveries through both dedicated and network models for various clients across the United States. RLX is committed to fostering a community-focused environment and is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee inbound operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day delivery operations, including monitoring loadout/check-in, delivery activity, motor carrier needs, and customer service.
- Ensure timely reporting of loadout/returns compliance and motor carrier compliance within client standards.
- Maintain professional relationships with location management, peers, motor carriers, client employees, and other department managers.
- Supervise and review route monitoring using client-specific software.
- Process and monitor returns through the client portal at participating locations.
- Move inventory safely using material handling equipment (when needed).
- Serve as a main point of contact for escalations from the client.
- Schedule orders and notify customers of their time windows for next day delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned (based on client requirements).
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong supervisory skills in operations and people are essential.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Teams, etc.) is necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, are important.
- The ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
- Ability to embrace new technology is beneficial.
- Two to three years of Operations or final mile delivery experience is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly remain stationary for long periods of time.
- Occasionally work in a standing position.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and outside stakeholders in person, on the telephone, and via email and other computer-related messaging.
- Moves/manipulates various objects.
- Extended work hours and travel may be required.
