Operations Supervisor - Transportation Services

Job Summary

Supervises the operational, financial, and personnel activities of the Iowa City parking and mass transit system. Oversees the customer service, cashiers, parking enforcement, PM parking and transit maintenance staff, PM transit operations and financial reporting operations including parking management software.

• Supervises customer service, cashiers, parking enforcement, PM parking and transit maintenance staff.
• Supervises PM transit operations and financial reporting operations including parking management software.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited educational institution; or four years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: One year of related experience preferred; five years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Management, or related field.
• Certification/License: Valid State of Iowa drivers license with satisfactory driving record; valid State of Iowa Class B commercial drivers license with air brakes and passenger endorsement required within 90 days of hire.
• Other: Meet federal drug testing requirements. A pre-employment drug screen is required. Must be 18 years of age. Must pass criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Preferred Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited educational institution and one year of related experience.
• Preferred Experience: One year of related experience preferred.
• Preferred Certification/License: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Management, or related field.

Skills

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of parking management software.

Benefits

• Salary Range: $74,963.20 - $106,204.80* (starting wage contingent upon experience).
• Plus 75 cent per hour shift differential.

Pay

• Starting wage contingent upon experience.
• Shift differential: 75 cents per hour.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 11:00pm.
