About the Role

The Project Specialist is an important contributor to the execution of key programs improving operational and financial performance, optimizing employee experience, or addressing other business objectives. This role provides support on behalf of the Sr. Director, Project Development & Execution, partnering with field teams, IT, Quality Improvement (QI), and other stakeholders to identify and achieve measures of success.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret financial and/or operational data to quantify challenges and overall project impact.
  • Act as a liaison between field teams, functional business leaders, and corporate partners (e.g., IT, QI), including identifying, documenting, and communicating business process requirements.
  • Support the design and execution of alternative business process workflows, recommending improvements and enhancements where possible.
  • Document and maintain project plans or status reports and/or coordinate completion from workstream owners as needed.
  • Identify and escalate project risks to program leadership.
  • Summarize project findings, decision criteria, and considerations to aid in group alignment and project completion.
  • Own or lead workstream(s) within a project with oversight from the team leader.
  • Build strong relationships with field, functional, and corporate teams at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience; management consulting, finance, and/or healthcare/human services preferred.

Skills

  • Skilled in using desktop applications with proficiency in project management software, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet.
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, HR, and Quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various audiences, including leadership.
  • Strong connection to the Company’s mission and commitment to the people served.
  • Confidence working in a remote environment with evolving priorities.

Other Requirements

  • Travel as needed; estimated at 25% but not guaranteed.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amounts of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
