About the Role

This position involves leading and participating in community outreach programs, ensuring compliance with company policies, providing supervision and development opportunities for associates, and driving financial performance. You will model exceptional customer service standards, coordinate job-related activities, and support company initiatives to meet business and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, direct, and participate in community outreach programs by:
    • Encouraging and supporting associates and managers in serving as community members.
    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key community individuals or groups.
    • Representing the company to external organizations.
    • Championing company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures by:
    • Holding hourly associates accountable.
    • Analyzing and interpreting reports.
    • Implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls.
    • Maintaining quality assurance standards.
    • Overseeing safety and operational reviews.
    • Developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies.
    • Providing direction and guidance on executing company programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by:
    • Hiring, training, and mentoring associates.
    • Actively listening to associates and assigning duties.
    • Evaluating performance and providing recognition.
    • Setting clear expectations and promoting a belonging mindset.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by:
    • Following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
    • Managing and supporting customer service initiatives.
    • Ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
    • Developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies.
    • Providing process improvement leadership for a high-quality customer experience.
  • Assist the store manager in driving financial performance by:
    • Ensuring sales and profit goals are achieved.
    • Reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
    • Controlling expenses to ensure they are indexed to sales.
    • Developing and implementing plans to correct financial performance deficiencies.
    • Participating in analyzing economic trends and community needs for budget forecasting.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by:
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
    • Identifying and communicating goals and objectives.
    • Building accountability and measuring progress in achieving results.
    • Identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
    • Demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by:
    • Hiring, training, and mentoring.
    • Assigning duties and providing recognition.
    • Promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by:
    • Implementing related action plans.
    • Utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
    • Providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 2 years of college; OR
    • 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR
    • 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 20+ years of experience supervising associates.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location.
  • Complex Structure adjustments based on external challenges.
  • State Pay Differential to meet legislative requirements, where applicable.
