Operations Manager 1, Multi-Service
Sodexo is seeking a Multi Service Operations Manager to oversee Environmental Services and Patient Transport at Greenwich Hospital, a 200+ bed acute care hospital in Greenwich, CT. This role manages a team of 80+ frontline staff, supervisors, and leads, reporting to the Multi Service General Manager. Primarily a day shift, Monday–Friday position, with occasional weekends and holidays.
About the role
Lead daily operations for two or more core service areas at a client site, ensuring exceptional service delivery, client satisfaction, and long-term retention. Implement operational strategies that support client objectives, drive performance, and contribute to profitable growth. Supervise team members, allocate resources, monitor operating standards, and develop new programs to enhance service offerings. Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources, including performance evaluations, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions. Results are achieved through the work of others, relying on influence and negotiation across the organization. Progression reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business knowledge, and leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional, or operational areas, processes, or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple service operations with direct oversight and accountability.
- Influence strategy, service delivery, and overall client satisfaction.
- Develop teams, improve operational performance, and strengthen service quality.
- Contribute to client retention, growth, and expansion of service offerings.
- Manage budgets, drive initiatives, and enhance performance standards.
- Apply problem-solving skills to optimize daily operations and resource use.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of management experience.
- 3 years of related experience in facilities management operations.
- Knowledge across facilities management operations, including custodial, housekeeping, grounds, pest control, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Business and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
- Customer service expertise focused on relationship building and communication.
- Leadership skills to develop teams, delegate effectively, and maintain accountability.
- Experience establishing operating standards, implementing quality improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Proactive, resourceful approach to solving operational challenges and supporting daily functions.

Pay
$89,250 – $115,500 per year. Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on experience, skills, education, and training.
