Brief Description

Impacts bank's security, fraud prevention, and regulatory adherence by maintaining transaction integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures efficient, accurate, and cost-effective operations across all general banking departments.
  • Manages administration of Bank’s Operations Control processes and procedures.
  • Administers ATM products, services, and related systems.
  • Manages IRA/Dormant Account administration, legal documentation processes, item processing, and wire transfer functions.
  • Develops and implements new policies and procedures for new products.
  • Reviews and updates existing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Works with branch management to develop and oversee control functions.
  • Investigates and corrects operational issues with IT, accounting, internal control, risk, and audit teams.
  • Conducts operational analysis and presents findings and recommendations to management.
  • Participates in short and long-term organizational planning and strategy.
  • Develops and improves services by consulting with users and making decisions about equipment, hardware, and software purchases.
  • Guides and directs operational teams to improve performance.
  • Evaluates and enhances forms and systems to achieve objectives in designated areas.
  • Oversees and supports product managers in new product development and implementation.
  • Works with management and staff to integrate activities, resolve operational issues, and improve customer service.
  • Conducts internal surprise operational audits.
  • Organizes and conducts departmental meetings to encourage educational and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Implements strategies to achieve goals assigned to the department as outlined in the annual operating plan.
  • Prepares and provides reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Serves as primary liaison to the branch operational teams, addressing service and production issues promptly and supporting staff.
  • Leads and delegates tasks among assigned staff.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews and provides feedback and corrective action as necessary.
  • Provides coaching, recognition, motivation, and skill development to staff members.
  • Communicates effectively among teams, ensuring all members have the appropriate tools and information to perform their roles.
  • Administers personnel policies and procedures, including time and attendance.
  • Ensures adherence to Bank policies and procedures and federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Supports other areas of the department and the Bank as needed.
  • Performs tasks supportive of essential functions, which may be altered or redesigned based on individual circumstances.

Ancillary Functions

  • Leads and delegates tasks among assigned staff.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews and provides feedback and corrective action as necessary.
  • Provides coaching, recognition, motivation, and skill development to staff members.
  • Communicates clearly among teams, ensuring all members have the appropriate tools and information to perform their roles.

Skills

  • Clearly communicates in English; proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics.
  • Proficient in interpersonal relations, communicative, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking operations, laws, and regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of bank products, operations, and services.
  • Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet.

Requirements

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field normally required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' related experience in community banking Operations.
