About the role
Develop and deliver the next generation of sortation and distribution solutions. Play and implement facility network infrastructure including new builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives. Conduct the design, build, and continuous improvement of Amazon order fulfillment infrastructure. Work with engineers in the design, development, and delivery of physical distribution systems around the globe.
Responsibilities
- Manage a technology or integration project, successfully delivering the solution to meet project goals within schedule, budget, safety, and quality targets.
- Work directly with external equipment vendors, customers, partners, internal customers, and stakeholders to provide technical expertise.
- Manage the overall schedule, proactively mitigate risks, and keep the scope of engineering deliverables under control.
- Actively participate in firm engineering reviews, and make tangible impact on the proposed solutions on an individual system or its components, on the overall systems architecture, and on facility processes.
- Articulate system and/or equipment designs, including layouts, technical specifications and functional capabilities to internal customers and partner teams.
- Efficiently manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice validation/approvals.
Requirements
Domestic travel up to 75% to perform role responsibilities may be required. (40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $119600 - $161700)
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Management, Business Administration, Technology or a related discipline and 3 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation.
- In the alternative, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Management, Business Administration, Technology or related discipline followed by 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation.
- Experience Must Include 3 years of experience in CAD software including AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM 360.
- 3 years of experience in managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment or integrated systems.
- 3 years of experience in leading projects, programs or initiatives with continually increasing scope and impact.

Pay
Base pay range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $119600 - $161700 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
