Open Rank Faculty in Breast Surgical Oncology
Job Summary
The Medical College of Georgia, Department of Surgery at Augusta University is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in our Surgical Oncology Program in Augusta, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Develop clinical practice in the field of Breast Surgery and Surgical Oncology.
- Enhance the Breast Surgery Program, increase clinic visits and increase surgical volumes related to breast cancer.
- Participate in the call schedule with the Divisions of Surgical Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
- Teach and educate general surgery residents about breast surgery.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO degree or equivalent
- Candidates should be Board certified in General Surgery, Board eligible/certified in CGSO (if applying after Surgical Oncology fellowship).
- Minimum of 0-2 years of experience
- Assistant Professor- Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training.
- Associate Professor- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
- Professor- Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
- This position is fiscal year based and works year-round.
- The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time.
- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
