About the role
Contribute to the clinical education of residents, medical students, and other trainees. Provide evaluation and management services, perform simulations, treatment planning and delivery procedures. Participate in the academic, research and educational missions of the institution. Maintain a culture of safety and quality assurance within the radiation department and attend clinical, administrative and research meetings as required.

The Department of Radiation Oncology is a national leader in precision radiation medicine and advanced technology, with a comprehensive next-generation platform including MR Linac–based adaptive therapy, MR-guided brachytherapy, Gamma Knife ICON™, Radixact™ Tomotherapy™, and Proton Therapy with in-room CT guidance — all integrated within a precision-first care model. The department is a pioneer in adaptive and biologically guided radiation therapy, with nationally recognized research leadership in adaptive radiotherapy, imaging biomarkers, molecular phenotyping, and mitigation of normal tissue injury to personalize and improve patient outcomes. The ROCKET Program and NCI-supported clinical trial leadership provide dedicated internal infrastructure that accelerates innovation into open, multidisciplinary trials, with faculty actively engaged in NCI-funded cooperative groups and international clinical research. The department operates an integrated academic–community and adult–pediatric model with a broad clinical footprint across academic, VA, community, and pediatric settings, extending state-of-the-art technology and clinical trial access while maintaining academic excellence.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree and graduation from an Accredited Radiation Oncology Residency
- Must be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Radiology within 3 years of date of hire
- Eligible for full, unrestricted licensure in Wisconsin
